The Compulsory Education Act 2000 in Singapore requires citizens to complete primary education in national primary schools. After primary school, it is not compulsory by law to continue schooling in Singapore. Read the Act.
They can enroll in General Education courses offered by the Institute of Technical Education (ITE) leading to GCE-N or O-Level qualifications, or prepare for the GCE-O Level exam as a private candidate.

The SPM Fast Track program is an intensive, accelerated preparation course designed to help students — particularly Tahfiz and Madrasah students — quickly acquire the Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) qualification needed for further education or employment. These programs offer focused teaching in core academic subjects over a condensed period, with experienced teachers and accommodation provisions, aiming to ensure students pass the crucial national examination.
The Tahfiz program primarily uses Malay and Arabic. For academic subjects, instruction is typically delivered in a combination of English and Malay — aligning with the Malaysian national curriculum and preparing students for the SPM examination.
